Our project for a couple living in a terraced house was to create a unique space, inspired by the “japandi” style – a combination of Scandinavian minimalism and Japanese harmony. Our work focused on extending the living room by 1.5 meters toward the garden, allowing for the introduction of additional natural light through a glass roof and a sliding HST window across the width of the living area. Using natural materials such as clay plaster, light, natural wood, and a durable stone countertop, we were able to create a cohesive and harmonious space.
In redesigning the functional layout, we opened the kitchen to the living room by removing a wall, which made it possible to place a spacious island, accessible from both the kitchen and the living room. A key element of our design was also atmospheric lighting, which not only adds coziness but also emphasizes the harmony and elegance of the space, especially in the evening.
We worked with our clients in the form of a comprehensive project, which allowed them to receive a full set of guidelines for building the space we presented.
